Hi.
I don’t know where to start this, so I am just going to jump right in.
I’m giving away a CUISINART ICE CREAM MAKER!!!
I am so excited about this and I really
really
REALLY.. hope you are too.
I will tell you what you need to do to enter at the end of this post. It’s really simple. I promise.
I want to start by telling you that I love ice cream. It never used to be my favorite sweet. I liked it, of course. Who wouldn’t? But it was never my sweet of choice. Now? I think I have ice cream more often than any one person should.
A few times a week at the very least.
Of course the easy way to get it is to purchase it from the store. And there are so many dairy-free brands out there that the options are limitless. But, I think that people get intimidated by making it at home. When that is so simple, too!
You don’t even need an ice cream maker. With a few frozen bananas and other fruits, you can make a simple delicious ice cream using a food processor! Hopefully, by the end of this week, I will give you a few simple recipes that you can recreate at home and see how easy it is to have homemade ice cream in just a few hours.
Ice cream carries with it a bit of nostalgia for me. I remember being a kid and going to 31 Flavors and getting to pick a scoop of my favorite ice cream.
Even as a child, I guess I was different from other kids. They were choosing chocolate chip, bubble gum, rainbow sherbet. Me?
Pecan Praline.
What kind of 5 year old child likes Pecan Praline?
Do you remember the times when you would get an ice cream on a cone, your licking away, having so much fun. But there is a problem. The ice cream wasn’t quite stuck to the cone and with one swift lick… it falls to the ground. It breaks your heart. Cause you know, with absolute certainty that that ice cream was THE BEST ice cream. No other ice cream was going to top how good that one was. But, now it is on the ground.
melting.
Anyway, I am not sure why but ice cream to me is a family outing. Meeting friends and neighbors at the local shop. Sitting outside on a warm summer day. What other dessert to people gather for? I don’t know. Just a thought.

Have you ever had pomegranate molasses?
I love the stuff.
I am not even sure how to describe it… sweet, sour, tangy… delicious! It can be used as an addition to many common food items: vinaigrette, BBQ sauce, stewed berries. Last week, we even got some dulmas from the local Persian market that were marinating in the syrup.
Oh. My. Goodness. It was heaven.
In fact, the night we had those, I woke up with the idea for this ice cream.

Entering this contest is very simple. I’m going to do at least three, maybe four, ice cream posts this week. With each post, make a comment with a simple answer to whatever question I think of at the time.
This means you have at least THREE chances to enter…
I will pick someone, randomly, from all the comments and announce the winner in one week… Monday, Nov 21st!
Here’s the question for this post:
What is your current favorite ice cream flavor?
Have fun and GOOD LUCK!
Pomegranate Molasses Ice Cream

I’m boring… Vanilla.
I LOVE mocha flavored icecream! And let’s be honest – anything with chocolate.
my favorite is cookie dough ice-cream!! but I’ll always accept anything chocolate fudgey… really, any flavor (accept plain old vanilla) will do me just fine.
My favorite is mint chocolate chip! Yum!
I love chery ice cream!
I love anything with chocolate, but espresso is my all time fav!! Awesome giveaway!
I love plain vanilla. Simple and sweet.
My fave is a true vanilla bean. I could surely drizzle some of your pomegranate molasses on that!
Mint Chocolate Chip definitely! Then black cherry
Vanilla. Boring sounding, yes…but no…because I like to add whatever flavours I want. Chocolate, Strawberry. Fruit. Whipped cream. PB.
Magical stuff really. Would love to win!!!

Ok, after reading this post, my favourite ice cream flavours may be changing. I loved Mint Chocolate Chip too. Have you ever seen David Lebovitz’s site ? When I lived in Paris, I loved following his blog. He ADORES making ice cream too. I think you would love some of his ice cream recipes !
Big hug, Lynne
right now, my favorite ice cream is anything with peanut butter!
mmm — current favorite is pumpkin because it’s so seasonal, but in general it’s green mint chocolate chip.
Peanut butter
Bittersweet Chocolate.
Espresso!
Oh hi there!!! I want to be in on this action. I’m going Mocha, or chocolate peanut butter. I’m freezing right now, but I would eat ice cream under a blanket.
The ice cream that I’ve been enjoying lately is Trader Joe’s Soy Creamy Cherry Chocolate Chip. It’s delicious!
Tonight we had some friends over and the dressing on the salad I made was pomegranate molasses with olive oil, it is one of my favourite dressings, simple but tasty. My current favourite ice cream would have to be rose petal and white chocolate ice cream. Love idea of the syrup drizzled over and in the ice cream.
current- vegan cake batter soft serve that I can only get in New York. I miss it!!
MMMMmmm, salted caramel – the sweetness, saltiness and creaminess mmmmmmmmmmmm
