I'm not quite sure what this world coming to & it can be so disheartening. So many people resort to being cruel, selfish, hostile & unforgiving, & for no justified reason. Yet few remain, like you, who are cognizant & have compassion - these are the few who will let you in front of them in traffic, control their children in public or better yet play baseball with them in real time instead of letting them escape to the Wii, deliver a home-cooked meal to a neighbor in need, refrain from water cooler gossip, treat everyone with general respect, etc. All I can say is "do unto others" & "be the change." You're right we are all in this spaceship together, all we can do is help inspire those who pay attention. Your thoughts, recipes & gorgeous photos inspire me. And this bundt looks so lovely & seems like the perfect way to greet the day with a fresh & scrumptious outlook. Keep the faith. They are usually the kind and quiet ones though, the ones you don't usually notice until they are truly needed...then they emerge with a solidity and strength that makes you feel renewed. I lost my father a few months ago and there they were, offering food and funny stories and offers of help and lots and lots of hugs. They may not stick around as steady or strong as in those moments, but they are there, like the warm sun behind rolling clouds. As long as you keep reaching out in kindness and compassion, know that similar souls will find you. :) And thank you for sharing the recipe!
